An exciting introduction to Oregon’s Bible Quizzing scene, open to all!

Saturday, September 6th, Dallas Oregon

Join us for a day of fun and focus on God’s word at Oregon’s Christian Bible Quizzing (CBQ) welcome event! This informal and introductory quiz meet will take place on Saturday, September 6^th, from 9 AM to 4 PM at Dallas Alliance Church located at 775 E Ellendale Ave, Dallas OR 97338.

New to Bible Quizzing? This meet was made for you! There is no registration or prior experience required to participate. In fact, throughout the day we will alternate between quizzing and workshops intended to answer questions and provide more information about how to get (and stay) involved. While youth participate in the quizzing, workshops will be available for both youth and adults. Learn how to start a team in your area, how to memorize and study or help someone study for a quiz meet, and best of all, try it for yourself!

Kick off a great year in God’s word and make lasting friendships at Oregon’s Bible Quizzing Welcome Event in Dallas. See you there!

Welcome Event Schedule

• Session 1: Start at 9 AM
  • Short worship time
  • Quiz set 1 (likely 2 or 3 introductory quizzes maximum)
    • Very first quiz will be a demonstration quiz with veteran quizzers showing rookies how Quizzing works
    • Any teams arriving at the event will stay together as teams, and anyone who comes solo will be assigned a team
    • Teams will find their own positions in open quizzes
  • Workshop set 1
    • Adults will share how to coach and what the season will be like
    • Veteran quizzers will share with rookie quizzer about how to study
• Lunch Break: Folks will go into town for lunch and return to the church for games and fellowship time
• Session 2: Start at 1 PM
  • Quiz set 2
    • Scheduled quiz schedule that look and feel like the real thing
    • 2-to-4 quiz slots in total
  • Workshop set 2
    • Everybody
      • How to use QuizSage (as a quizzer, coach, parent, etc.)
    • Adults (while quizzers either self-quiz, with quizzers as QMs, and/or play lawn games)
      • Introduction to what Quizzing is about
      • How to be an awesome coach
• Conclude around 4 PM

To prepare for competition, try memorizing the first chapter of 1st Corinthians!
